Art History: Part III Discovering Masterworks Nearby—The Booth Museum of Western Art, Cartersville, GA

On view through January 20, 2019 in the temporary exhibition gallery at the Booth Museum of Western Art: East/West Visions: Scott Christensen and Quang Ho. This exhibit highlights the works of two well-known contemporary masters. Shortly after the exhibit opened in October, Quang Ho gave a one-day painting demonstration in the lecture hall. And coming up on Friday January 18, 2019, Scott Christensen will be giving a one-day painting demonstration from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Contact the museum for reservations.

Located just north of Atlanta along I-75, at 120,000 square feet, the Booth is the largest museum of its kind in the Southeast and an Affiliate to the Smithsonian Institution. The Booth’s permanent collection covers more than a dozen galleries, showcasing legendary western artists such as Frederic Remington and Charles Russell to contemporary masters Howard Terpning and Andy Warhol.
